The list below is a summary of certain procedures for Challenge Cup, including some changes for 2018. This list is NOT intended to replace the
Book, and is just a summary of certain procedures. Please refer to the Book for details.
Challenge Matches are a part of Challenge Cup, as is movement between cups. The procedures stress the importance of playing the
Challenge Matches and create more movement between cups in the event of defaulted Challenge Matches.
Course Yardages are the same as 2017.
Cell Phones - NO Cell phones or other electronic devices for any purpose whatsoever except for emergencies arising during play.
Slow Play - A foursome finishing outside 4 1/2 hours AND more than 15 minutes after the group in front of them may receive a slow play warning.
Players must write start times and end times on their scorecards. Failure to do so may create a presumption of slow play.
Dress Code - White bottoms and team shirts (the body of the shirt must be the same). Violation will be treated as
a sportsmanship violation.
Rain - The goal for all matches is to complete the matches as scheduled, which means all players in the field completing at least nine holes.
Rules have been clarified to encourage playing the matches as scheduled.
